The bud bag should be used as soon as the calyx begins to split, to give protection from insects from the first moment that they could get into the flower and cause damage.
Once the flower has developed, but before it fills the bud bag, it is time to replace with the appropriate sized bloom bag. We offer two sizes of bloom bag, medium and large, depending on the ultimate size of flower you are growing.
Carefully, remove the bud bag and inflate the chosen bloom bags, by blowing into them, before you put the bags over the flower.
All blooms should be double bagged, i.e. place one bag inside another before inflating, to give the best results. Take care not to damage the developing flower and secure with a twist tie around the stem. This will then protect your blooms until the time of your shows.
